Coaching Skills Participants


Coaching and mentoring skills are critical for any team leader, manager or executive manager in order to assist their teams and individuals to focus on development goals and provide strategies to achieve them.

This program will show participants how to use a coaching style that truly motivates their people to achieve sustained high performance. We explore the psychology of coaching, core skills, tools and techniques and create dynamic actions plans in managing a coaching program. Participants will receive plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice to enable them to immediately transfer these skills to the workplace.

• Framing coaching conversations

• Listening to understand, advanced questioning techniques

• Setting performance and mastery goals

• GROW model

• Coaching others to solve problems

• Guided role-play with realistic scenarios

• Debrief and evaluation of personal coaching styles

• Explore the nature and benefits of coaching in organisations

• Identify individual coaching style

• Examine how communication and learning styles can impact on the coaching process

• Apply rapport in order to build trust and develop relationships in the coaching process

• Develop and use a coaching contract to guide the coaching scenarios

• Review, consolidate and expand on existing skills
